Pullman & Mercure King George Square is a large vibrant 438 room twin towered hotel which acts as a sanctuary for leisure and business travellers. Located opposite King George Square, City Hall and ideally situated in the heart of Brisbane CBD the hotel has some of the largest conference spaces in Brisbane incorporating 2 ballrooms. The hotel also features the amazing and extremely popular venues of Goldfinch Restaurant and Street Cafe, Sixteen Antlers Rooftop Bar as well as KG Bar, Expresso Bar and an Executive Lounge.
We are currently seeking a Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team. This role is suitable for a vibrant sale professional who enjoys working across different market segments. Supporting the whole client journey; assisting with sales leads.
What is the role all about?
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Implement a personal sales call plan that is adaptable to business needs and flexible with market trends
- Build, develop and maintain relationships with current customer base
- Identify and convert sales leads into new business opportunities
- Conduct Market Research to source new corporate rooms business
- Maintain effective communication with the Assistant Director of Sales, providing market intelligence on a regular basis and an understanding of competitor strengths, weaknesses and ongoing sales activities
- Participate and represent Accor at key industry/trade events
- Accurately record call plan activities, contacts, rate structure and other pertinent client information in the Sales database
Who will be successful?
You will have a proven track record of achievement in sales, preferably in the hospitality and/or tourism industry, and will impress us with your demonstrated ability to transform strong rapport with clients into solid business. Your sales flair will be complemented by strong time-management, and administrative skills. Five star hotel experience will be a significant advantage, as will knowledge of the Brisbane market.
