Job Description
Job Summary Responsible for the implementation of Industrial Safety and Environment, is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring programs in the areas of industrial safety, Environmental Engineering and Health. Executes and / or provides support in the manufacturing operation related to projects, programs or tasks related to the accomplishment of EATON and the legal requirements applicable to the operation. Job Responsibilities Responsible for municipal, state, and federal and requirements (STPS) Responsible for the environmental management system (ISO-14001) and the Clean Industry Environmental Audit Program. Monitors the Health and Safety program including implementation of applicable STPS standards. Supervises and coordinates emergency plans. Implementation and supervision of proper use of PPE. Responsible of sustainability programs. Wide knowledge of the legal requirements local, state, and federal government agencies. Promotes continuous improvement in regards the safety and environmental management system. Identification, implementation, and surveillance in regards the execution of training needs for subordinates and emergency brigades. Wide knowledge and experience regarding incident cases, such as investigation, containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions aligned with the applicable norms and protocols. Knowledge in wastewater treatment. (desirable) Waste Management program coordination. Ensure control of EHS aspects in the organization, including certifications. Supports and, where appropriate, provides training in accordance with the EHS Annual Training Plan. Support Management of Change Process. Extensive knowledge of covid-19 health legal protocols and regulations. Attend legal inspections, as well as respond to non-conformities in a timely and proper manner. Contribute with the achievement of safety and environmental objectives and goals. Prepares, implements, and keeps updated EHS procedures and forms. ISO14001responsible. Act as internal auditor of ISO 14001 Knowledge about the implementation of ISO45001 Coordinate and comply with required MESH programs Implementation of the Zero Incident Safety Culture Supervise EHS technicians Coordinates and participates in the Workstation Risk Assessment, and at the Site Level Risk Assessment program. Use proper PPE as required; glasses, gown, boots, ear plugs (where applicable) Make sure direct reports comply with Safety Requirements. Report any problems related to his supervisor. Complies with and ensures compliance with EHS standards around the operation. #LI-DS1 Qualifications Education level required Bachelor’s degree (Industrial or Environmental Engineering preferably) Years and area of experience required Minimum 5 years of experience in Safety, Health and Environment role.
