The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 532 guest rooms, 3 restaurants, Rooftop Event Space, Executive Lounge, IRD`s and 17 meeting spaces. Located at the Brisbane Airport precinct, it is the first accommodation and meeting and event space to be developed in this precinct. 

Ibis & Pullman Brisbane Airport is currently seeking an Executive Sous Chef to join the professional and dynamic kitchen team. This role will report to the Executive Chef, with responsibilities including leading the smooth day-to day shift operation within the Kitchen.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Prepare and present high quality dishes within company guidelines and within a timely manner
• Assist in creating and implementing menus.
• Support and develop the kitchen team for high performance through discussion and training.
• Demonstrate leadership and effective communication within the kitchen team and front of house.
• Arrange rosters and manage staff levels according to occupancy.
• Assist in managing food cost and labour cost and contribute to food and beverage revenue.
• Work closely with the Chief Steward ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health and safety standards
• Manage and train the kitchen team effectively to ensure a highly motivated team culture.

To be successful in this role, you MUST have:

• Proven experience as a Senior Chef managing a team in a high volume restaurant.
• Exposure to various cuisine styles in multiple outlets and open kitchens.
• Completed relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery.
• The ability to lead, support & mentor to achieve desired results.
• A strong understanding of modern food trends.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with an even temperament.
