Purpose of the role
Working in the UK Headquarters, this role will lead the Financial Management Reporting for the first 12 months and thereafter transition into a senior level ERP implementation role, which will entail providing support and leadership to the Finance team through a period of extensive change across RWS Group.
Essential Functions
Financial Management Reporting:
- Manage and develop the reporting team.
- Manage the preparation of the monthly management accounts and consolidation for the business including P&L’s and balance sheets, liaising with UK and International colleagues as necessary. Providing commentary to Finance Director.
- Review Management Accounts and key variance reports and present to budget holders, Partners and business streams.
- Assist with the further development of management reporting, including KPI’s and process improvements.
- Manage the annual audit process and Budget and Forecast preparations.
- Oversee the preparation of information for annual corporation tax returns in various countries
- Manage the quarterly preparation of VAT reporting
- Management of the Group Payroll function
Group-wide ERP implementation:
- Providing cover for the Head of Operational Finance and Head of Financial Management Reporting
- Supervision of transactional finance and management accounts teams as required
- Financial modelling
- Margin analysis
- Transfer Pricing project
- Renewals project accounting
- Supporting the CFO with various ad hoc tasks as and when needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA Accountant
- At least three years’ post-qualification experience working at a senior level
- Excellent attention to detail
- Line management experience
- Multicurrency exposure
- Good MS Excel and IT skills
- Ability to build relationships and manage teams
- Ability to communicate effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders/colleagues
- Experience within the service industry would be an advantage
