An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join the Mercure Townsville in a Parttime role as Maintenance technician. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this varied role requires you to maintain the building, plant & equipment, fixtures and fittings throughout the Hotel to the required standards. You will be part of the team that ensures we provide a safe and functional environment for all guests, visitors and employees.
 
What you will be doing:

• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment. This includes basic plumbing, electrical, painting and general repairs.

• Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action Servicing of plant and general equipment as directed.

• Performing duties relevant to experience and trade as applicable and also perform other maintenance related tasks as required.

• Assisting other team members in the completion of their duties.

• Complying with safe work practices by following AccorHotels WHS and Environmental policies.

• Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way

Your experience and skills include:

• Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset

• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

• Highly responsible & reliable with the the ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment

• Attention to detail

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to positively engage with guests ensuring their stay is memorable.

• Availability to work weekends
