Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure division is currently seeking a Production Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Santa Ana, CA facility. Relocation assistance will be provided. This position is responsible for overall leadership and management of Assembly lines supporting the Power Distributions, Inc. business in Santa Ana, CA. In this role, you will direct and coordinate activities of multiple departments through subordinate supervisors and / or production employees. In addition, you will have responsibility for results in regard to quality, cost, delivery, safety, morale and growth. This position reports to Plant Manager. In this function you will: Assist in establishing department goals that are challenging targets for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale. Devise strategies with documented action plans to achieve targets. Determine effect of production load changes on plant operations. Take action(s) to adjust capacity (labor and/or equipment) to meet new production requirements. Follow up on the progress towards targets by: Conducting periodical review of area targets. Taking problem-solving countermeasures. Following up on the results of the countermeasures. Supporting subordinates if results are unsatisfactory. Effectively deal with specific problems brought up by subordinates to help bring about positive resolution. Efficiently use people-related problem-solving techniques. Assist in the coordination/ implementation of new product development. Lead team in lean deployment to drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction, and Cost Out results. Partner with OPEX and Supply Chain to optimize all operational & Inventory aspects of each production line. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited institution. Six Sigma Green Belt or higher. Experience in electrical assembly manufacturing. Previous role/experience managing others including other supervisors and/or large groups of employees. Bilingual in Spanish. Position Success Criteria: Working knowledge of manufacturing procedures/practices including Industrial Engineering principles, production planning, and Lean/Six Sigma. Experience in ISO certified manufacturing assembly environment. Proficient in driving Quality Control and Inventory Control. Proven Leadership skills- capable of leading change initiatives and drive a high-performance culture. Why work at Eaton?
