SOFTWARE QUALITY ANALYST II

 

Position Summary:

Bentley Systems is seeking a talented individual who has CAD design skills to become a valued member of our successful iTwin Connectors group as a Software Quality Analyst II. The Software Quality Analyst plays an important role as part of the iTwin Platform team, by applying its technical knowledge for the validation and functional verification of CAD drawings conversion to iModels. The Software Quality Analyst is a subject matter expert with structural or Civil engineering knowledge, with proven practical experience with various CAD design specifications, and works collaboratively with other quality analysts, product management, and development teams across multiple product lines.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Owns testing of assigned products: estimate testing tasks, create test plans, responsible for the testing, validation, and functional verification, and provide suggestions on how testing can be optimized.
  • Detect, analyze, log and track software bugs/defects and follow the bug life cycle
  • Verify/Validate User reported issues
  • Conduct ongoing functional testing
  • Verify software quality via planning, creation, execution and maintenance of manual and automated test procedures
  • Create, identify, document, and execute test cases from design documentation and functional specifications
  • Collaborate with other team members and product managers to accomplish the testing and development objectives
  • Document procedures and recommendations for all phases of product testing
  • Learn necessary Bentley Products that interact with the assigned products

 

Requirements / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical discipline
  • Analytical mindset, ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • CAD design software experience (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AVEVA, MicroStation is a plus)

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Good analytical skills with strong problem-solving ability and investigation skills
  • Good communication skills, fluent in English and must work well in a team environment and interact with offices at overseas locations
  • Must exhibit initiative and be a self-starter who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Aptitude to analyze information, develop recommendations, and present proposed solutions
