Job Description

The OCTO Group (Chief Technology Office) for DCAI (Data Center and Artificial Intelligence) are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer, who is interested in working in a lean, Agile, entrepreneurial environment that will launch new Intel products into the markets.

The Validation Enabling Tools and Prototyping team within the Data Center and Artificial Intelligence Group develops solutions that address the challenges delivering high-quality hardware and firmware. It is focused on delivering disruptive software and hardware technologies that will transform Network and datacenter operations and improve user experience.

As a Software Engineer, you will work as part of a team creating Acceleration, Ethernet drivers, and tools for the Silicon Validation teams in Intel. Your duties may include, but not be limited to:

  • Definition and development of new applications from given requirements specifications.
  • Building and improving web applications and software components.
  • Participate in the creation of technical documents for system design, maintenance and refactoring of existing modules and applications.
  • Developing server-side and client-side code for internal and external applications, writing unit tests, automated regression tests and tracking defects as they occur, supporting and assisting customers from around the globe.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, and/or internship experience. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field (documentation related to Bachelor's degree completion will be required). 
  • 4+ years of experience in functional and object-oriented programming using C++ and Python.
  • 4+ years of experience in software development (ideally for enterprise software products, middleware, or low-level drivers) supporting an Agile development process.
  • 4+ years of Linux experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ASICs or FPGAs.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
