Intel's Engineering Excellence (EngrX) team develops and deploys engineering software solutions to more than 6000 engineers throughout 28 countries at Intel. In addition, as part of the Development Excellence (DevX) team within the Data Platforms Engineering Architecture (DPEA) organization, EngrX is developing the software infrastructure for supporting engineering work and connecting systems throughout the entire company.
We are looking for an energetic team member with extensive knowledge of programming both front-end and back-end systems, database work, Microsoft Power BI, and creating software solutions with uncompromising creativity, quality, and integrity. The selected applicant will be part of the global software team responsible for helping develop our software environment with a focus on improving existing software architecture and connecting systems.
The software role requires experience with object-oriented programming languages, scripting, database work, data structures, as well as a thorough knowledge of the software development process. This employee must be a self-motivated, goal-oriented, independent worker who is passionate about quality of output, and must have produce results with minimal supervision and guidance.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and customizing existing software tools and methods.
- Database development including schema and stored procedures.
- Power BI development with a focus on user experience and access to information.
- Designing creative solutions to issues and feature requests.
- Bug fixing and responding to user issues.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, and/or internship experience. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM fields (documentation related to Bachelor's degree completion will be required).
- 2+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages.
- 1+ years of experience writing and debugging database queries.
- 1+ years of data experience (data architecture, data modeling, and data engineering).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with C#.
- Experience with MSSQL.
- Microsoft Power BI certification or experience.
- Experience with both Oracle databases.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
- Experience in optimizing data driven dashboards with focus on usability, performance, flexibility, and standardization.
- Proven delivery of technical expertise in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
