Eaton’s Corporate Division is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH location candidates must be located with 50 miles of Beachwood, OH to be considered. Hybrid remote work available. Position Overview: This position is responsible for managing significant global improvement and productivity projects as well as support of technology and communications platforms within the Global Financial Services & Systems function. In this function you will: Globally manages projects using PROLaunch for BPS, Eaton’s project management methodology. Analyzes financial processes, and facilitates writing of business requirements, communication plans, test plans and project plans. Effectively communicates with our internal customers and our global finance team to complete projects per agreed upon project timelines. Resolves project issues, including researching and recommending solutions for the design and development work on projects and processes. Communicates roles/responsibilities, and aligns/manages GFSS and external resources globally, including GFSS customers, database administrators, IT staff and software vendors. Coordinates across disciplines and countries to establish standard systems and processes. Establishes and tracks project metrics, and performs benchmarking, to improve the metrics processes. Champions PROLaunch and project scorecard measures while collaborating with other project managers Manages, improves and champions innovation within our GFSS organization. Identifies, researches, and resolves issues within the various technology platforms in conjunction with internal and external resources. Maintains security and data integrity within the financial systems supported by the Global Financial Shared Services. Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelors Degree, or equivalent, in Accounting, Finance or Information systems 7 - 10 years of varied accounting, information systems, finance or shared services experience 4 - 5 years of strong, proven project management success No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beachwood, OH will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: MBA/CPA/CMA/PMP preferred. Strong PC skills (Microsoft – Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio) Oracle and SAP Financial Systems experience Experience in quality initiatives, value stream mapping Position Criteria: Strong assertive leadership/motivational skills Excellent communication skills and experience Highly motivated / self-directed Strong customer service orientation Ability to work well as part of a team Ability to write technical specifications for new projects in a manner that will put Eaton in an advantageous position when the project is bid Must be able to approach problem resolution from a global perspective Must have an understanding of strategic initiatives and be able to gather data to support strategic decisions Needs to utilize technical tools to gather information for analysis Must maintain professionalism when interacting with internal departments and software vendors Must be highly motivated, highly analytical and a self-starter Will be required to coach and mentor employees.
