This role is within the Siemens plc’s UK Customs department who are responsible for processing the import declarations for a number of Siemens businesses using our own internal software. The successful candidate would be expected to have extensive experience in an International Trade environment with full knowledge of customs declaration processes. The individual needs to be self-disciplined well organised and work well within a team albeit mostly remotely from their colleagues. Some key requirements: · Ensure compliant import/export processing in their area of responsibility. · Good organisational skills and the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external partners. · Knowledge of HMRC month end import data requirements. · Understands the relationship with shipping agents in order to engage with them. · Monitor compliance of import/export processes and procedures.
