Job Description
Eaton Industries (Canada) Company has an opening for a Warehouse Coordinator position at our Toronto, ON facility. We make what matters work. Co-ordinate warehouse, shipping and receiving functions. Ensure effective material flow, inventory and BOH accuracy. Provide day-to-day work assignments and coaching to personnel to achieve customer expectations, goals and objectives. Provide motivation and encouragement to the Warehouse team, ensuring that they are continually made aware of all workplace goals surrounding production, safety, and quality. Assign / coordinate workload and lead morning team meetings. Promote quality objectives among one’s employees by clarifying quality standards and goals. Track employee attendance, including ensuring employees submit proper forms as appropriate. i.e. vacation, OT. Recognize potential problems and resolve or communicate potential problems to manager. Ensure daily verification and safety inspection of machinery and lift trucks are completed. Conduct workplace inspections as specified in company procedure, hold monthly safety talks, identify and address hazards and support investigations of accidents and incidents. Review picking demand and estimates resources required to complete. Analyze and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Ensure effective material flow from receiving area through warehouse to customers. Release and print pick and pack documents to support customer orders and receipts. Maintain on time pick and pack shipments for all orders. Ensure cycle counts are done to maintain BOH accuracy and meet company accounting policies. Keep records of daily output as required for warehouse metrics. Complete non-conformance reports for defective materials. Follow-up on disposition. Communicate over/short shipments to Department Manager and Planner. Resolve problems with other Eaton Electrical supplying locations as required. Keep record of output as required. Track volume of material withdrawn, hand withdrawal, credits and pick and pack. Maintain records on returned materials and follow up with appropriate course of action through RMA process and collaborate with EatonCare. Provide input and recommendations to improve effectiveness of work area. Participate and contribute to continuous improvement (Eaton Lean System). Provide training and guidance to warehouse personnel. Ensure tow motor maintenance and service records are kept up-to-date. Coordinate the disposal of scrap inventory. Maintain inventory location changes. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Minimum Grade 12 / Secondary school diploma 2 to 3 years of previous supervisory / people leadership experience 2 to 3 years of experience in Warehouse / logistics environment Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: Experience of Lean Manufacturing implementation and continuous improvement techniques Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience Position Criteria: Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Problem solving abilities.
