Purchasing Clerk

Reporting the to the Director of Purchasing, the Purchasing Clerk t is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the purchasing storeroom.

  What you will be doing:

• Pick up all delivery orders from suppliers at the loading dock
• Verify that delivered items match the packing slip
• Check all orders for any damaged or bad products
• Deliver all orders to the storeroom; unpack items and place them in the right location
• Work closely with Purchasing Director to ensure that the products are received according to hotel standard and that any double shipments or shipments received in error are returned
• Deliver all orders to the correct departments in a timely manner
• Assist with the routing, filing and follow-up of purchase requisitions when necessary
• Assist with end-of-month inventories
• Able to work independently of supervision
• Assisting with shipping packages
• Other duties as assigned

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work in an environment with multiple interests
• Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion
