Senior Web Developer

 

Location: This position is avaialble for in office, remote, or a hybrid schedule to qualified candidates in the USA.

 

Position Summary:

Bentley Systems is hiring a full stack web developer for our IT, Digital Experience team. Our ideal candidate will have experience in WordPress, PHP, JavaScript and third-party API integrations. This person should also have a solid background creating and maintaining database driven web applications.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using web development best practices, including PHP for WordPress APIs, Themes and Plugins.
• Work with and integrate third-party APIs.
• Integrate data from various back-end web services and databases.
• Diagnose and resolve website functionality errors.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility of new features, conduct website performance tests.
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities.

 

What You Bring to The Team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Commensurate work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with website development. 
• Proficiency with PHP, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, .NET, C#.
• REST API development.
• Experience maintaining version control using Git.
• Familiar with programming against databases and database development; MySQL, SQL Server.
• Experience with SSO integration; Ping, Okta, or ADFS.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and WooCommerce technologies considered a plus.
• Must understand programming security best practices.
• Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
• This role does not require travel.
