Job Description

The Supply Chain Procurement Operations Manager will manage a team of Supply Line Managers (SLMs) responsible for serving all of Intel's Fabs within the Americas.  The assigned SLMs are responsible for the following: converting manufacturing requirements into inventory strategies/tactics, logistical plans, and supplier readiness.  

As a whole, this team is responsible for the coordination of purchasing activities such as generating, managing and reconciling forecasts and schedules. They also monitor the acquisition of materials in support of ramping factories, sustaining factories, and dispositioning materials for end-of-life factories. The team also partners with the factories to drive the lowest possible material and service impacts on tool availability.

 

As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Managing a team of supply chain professionals and/or people managers ensuring effective and efficient procurement operations while delivering on the Cost, Availability, Quality, and Sustainability objectives of the supply chain.

  • Ensuring an inclusive work environment, developing employees, setting priorities for the team, managing performance, and getting results across boundaries.

  • Planning and implementing activities related to timely, cost-effective procurement, supply/demand, and inventory control.

  • Sourcing activities, in addition to coordinating global procurement efforts.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below. *This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field of study. 

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in the following areas:

    • Understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.

    • Complete understanding of TD engineering and factory operations.

    • Analytical forecasting and part allocation modeling.

    • People management, with constructive and productive coaching and mentoring.

    • Complex supply chain algorithms to working level application.

    • Flexibility to support our factory's 24/7 operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Excel, WIINGs, SAP, Ariba.

  • Understanding of supply chain concepts.

  • Six Sigma/Lean certification.

  • Proficient in data analytics/Power BI.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
