Eaton’s Crouse Hinds Sales Division is seeking a Sales Representative to join their Western Region Territory. This role can be based in several locations in the Western region (AZ, CO, CA, or WA) Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. Primary Function Overview: The Sales Representative will report Director of Sales, Americas, Eaton HAC/MTL, this role will develop and implement the territory’s growth strategy, with a focus on product specification & selling, project pursuit and business development for select accounts (OEMs, End users, Integrators). In this function you will: Develop and grow the Western Region territory: Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Hawaii and Alaska, in alignment with the overall region and business strategy. Focus on customer-facing sales execution: ID and develop a list of target accounts aligned with our served segments, formulate and execute sales specification and penetration activity. Train, direct, develop, coach and measure Manufacturers Reps and Distributors’ salespeople with a defined plan for each geographic region and account base; establish priorities and hold accountable by providing timely coaching and feedback. Develop and apply selling processes (new account prospecting, needs analysis, handing objections, closing techniques) while selling. Build-out an active project pipeline totaling $3M; demonstrate sales activity for a defined list of OEM and end user accounts. Work-to-closure on major initiatives to be defined along with your direct manager. Gather and obtain substantive customer feedback on products and applications to recommend new or modified products ensuring a competitive position is maintained within the market. Utilizes negotiation skills to influence and resolve complex problems and influence all stakeholders to drive results. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of AZ, the state of CA, CO and WA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Product experience in Intrinsic Safety, Process Control or Distributed Control devices and systems for use in hazardous areas or harsh environments. MBA or advanced degree preferred, from an accredited institution Position Criteria: Entrepreneurial leader with proven track record of leading and developing teams through various aspects of the business cycle (growth, downturn) Strong interpersonal and communications skills; ability to establish and maintain relationships Superior organizational agility skills: ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports, peers, and customers internal/external to the organization. Strong mentoring, coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker Demonstrated selling skills involving needs analysis, value definition, handling objections and applying closing techniques. Ability to develop a written sales plan.
