Job Description
As Digitalisation & Application Engineer, you will be working in Eaton´s biggest division of the EMEA region (Power Management & Control Components division). You will work in cross functional and divisional teams. You will support new product developments, creation of application specific marketing / technical materials, creation of training materials and you will bring application specific insights and know how into the organization for various belongings. In addition you will support our business development and sales quotation teams during customer offering processes from an technical and assortment perspective. Job Responsibilities Responsible for overall training and technical support for Residential, Commercial and Industrial, Machinery Builders and related energy transition solutions, including development of training material together with marketing and product management, delivering customer seminars, internal and external training, tenders (technical information) and supporting the segment sales teams Investigate and share insights into segment specific applications / solutions Recommend specification and competitive alternatives for specifications written around competitive products to position Eaton products as functional equivalents Evaluate the technical aspects of engineering change notes where required, working with product management, engineering and manufacturing, globally in respect of portfolio extension, deletion and obsolescence, modification, and process improvement Establish Customer Success Stories and Application examples for the Segment teams Responsibility for the overall technical integrity of all product literature content that includes features, benefits and performance data Recommend improvements, adaptations and alternatives on customer’s solutions Receive market feedback from the segment team as an input for the solution map Calculate Total Cost of Ownership for initiatives and customer/segment requests to evaluate the benefit of a specific sub-solution Qualifications Qualifications Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education Minimum 2 years’ technical experience in Power Distribution Components related business Knowledge of IEC/UL standards and of power distribution products Experience in electrical components products Country, Customer and Segment specific application know-how Knowledge of designer software Ability and willingness to work in an intercultural environment Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and virtually Self-organization Willingness to learn and to adapt What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
