What you will be doing:

• Hire, train and manage all security officers in accordance with brand standards
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the Security department
• Ensure overall guest and colleague safety through the implementation and review of hotel wide security measures
• Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are followed with friendly and engaging service
• Ensure the overall safety and security of the guests, employees and property premises
• Investigate and report any violations to law/property policy, occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity and crisis situations
• Conduct regular floor patrols, package controls and crowd control
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
• Ensuring daily assignments/tasks are being monitored and completed by the team in a timely manner
• Working management role; actively engaging via phone calls, emails, and other direct communications within the hotel
• Supporting the team with escalated concerns and tasks
• All other job duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

• Possession of technical and security skills; familiarity with Security equipment
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities and the ability to lead by example
• Multitasking by being able to use different property systems simultaneously
