Objectives of the role

• Responsible for managing all accounting and finance relating matter of the legal entity / entities of the location.
• Establish and maintain strong lines of communication locally, regionally and globally
• Ensure compliance with legal and company processes and procedures within the legal entity
• Support different functional teams on finance related matters and advices

Key tasks and responsibilities

Accuracy and integrity of the accounting ledgers

• Maintain accounting records and reconciliations in an organised and structured way
• Ensure company is compliant on statutory and compliance requirements
• Identify and highlight to your manager any problems areas requiring support

Lines of communication

• Build & maintain a strong working relationship with the local team in the location
• Establish and maintain a good peer network peer within the SDL finance community

Compliance with company processes and procedures

• Ensure compliance with legal and company policies and procedures
• Improve control environments
• Identify and report areas of non-compliance and take corrective action when needed

• Different departments in the location
• Regional finance team in APAC
• Other operational finance team in UK (Group Finance, Treasury and Tax teams)
• External parties – bank, auditors, consultants

• Regional Financial Controller - APAC
