Job Description
The (Senior) Marketing Executive will be responsible for supporting our Commercial team to promote T&F’s F1000Research publishing solutions to researchers and institutions in China. This role needs to understand target customers’ pain points and interest points and use these insights to craft attractive messages that demonstrate the value of F1000Research services. This role is responsible for the implementation of a full range of marketing activities in China, to achieve business goals.
You are a marketer who's familiar with the world of academic research (or are prepared to get up to speed quickly!). You work efficiently, collaboratively, and are happy to test and iterate as you go.

What you'll be doing:
Your job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with Commercial team and Marketing peers to plan and execute marketing activities to promote F1000Research publishing solutions, ensuring key targets and ROI are met
- Conducting 2B marketing to target institutions in China with the aim of generating leads, and creating new business opportunities
- Carrying out 2C marketing by implementing marketing campaigns to engage researchers through online tactics (website, social media, email, etc.) and offline activities (conferences, workshops and other external events)
- Producing promotion contents for marketing activities
- Creating sales enablement resources (case studies, flyers, pitch decks and more)
- Monitoring performance of marketing activities and recommend optimization measures
- Aligning with global marketing team around F1000Research promotion strategy, replicating global marketing best practice and localizing to target China market
- Conducting local competitor and market research to ensure products are positioned effectively.
- Contributing to departmental objectives as required
Qualifications
What we're looking for:
- Publishing industry background strongly preferred
- A good understanding of online and offline marketing channels including events, email and paid and organic social media.
- Experience of planning, executing and reporting on marketing campaigns
- Excellent skills in marketing copywriting
- Strong interpersonal communication skills in multi-cultural environment
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Team player and relationship building abilities
- A growth mindset
- Degree level or equivalent professional qualification
