Loss Prevention Officer

To minimise any losses within the hotel, to ensure all Health & Safety and security issues are adhered to.  Management of all fire systems and procedures.  Issuing and security control of keys.  Maintaining the loading bay and yard areas.

What you will be doing:

• Weekly checks of First Aid kits and replenish and reorder where required.
• Control and issue of all metal keys including staff lockers.
• Check that all of the fire extinguishers, break glass are in place and in good working order
• Monitor the Fire System and take control in any potential fire situations.  Maintain a record of faults and repairs, carry out weekly tests.
• Check that all of the Emergency lights are working and in good order, report any defects
• Issuing of all Staff Keys and managing the hardware system, ensuring that all keys are logged in a register
• Issue and register of any stores keys.
• Carry out any security checks of external areas of buildings including Manor Homes.
• Monitoring all of the disabled toilets alarm systems and reporting any defects.
• Monitor all of the external door alarm systems and investigate any irregularities.
• Managing the Lost and found property, ensuring that all property is either returned to the owner or logged and kept in a safe place for the required length of time
• Monitoring and control of contractors, issuing of visitor cards and logging any contractor through the correct procedure.
• Checking all of the external lighting within the resort and reporting any defects.
• Periodically conduct baggage checks of staff.
• Management of resort CCTV System.

 

Your experience and skills include:

• Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable

 

Your team and working environment:

• Working a fast paced team environment
• Shifts will be during the day, evening and weekend
• Must be eligible to work in the UK. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining UK work authorization
