Job Description
Eaton’s Crouse Hinds Division is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team. This position is based at our locations in Denver, CO, Roanoke, VA, Syracuse, NY or Washington, PA location. Position Overview: This position is accountable to support the management of customer orders from quote to delivery in the PRE-formance (electrical pre-fab engineering and assembly) product platform. Responsibilities include the construction document review through customer proposal and order fulfillment requirements. This position will interface with the field sales, marketing, planning and operations (supervisory and hourly). The candidate will benefit from hands-on experience with electrical installation and experience estimating and project management the electrical work required with commercial construction projects. The incumbent is primarily responsible for optimizing the efficiency and profitability for large projects, managing them to customer expectation for completion and building repetitive business with specific customers that take advantage of the “Complete Process”. This position will require the ability to interpret construction documents to complete accurate takeoffs and determine the viability of project success based on the quality of the quotation. Knowledge or construction means and methods is a plus. The ability to communicate with field installers, foreman and our own sales team will be key to execution in this role. The incumbent will work primarily with the PRE-formance Product Manager, but will also have interaction with field sales personnel (agent & direct), marketing, and operations, customer service and pricing. In this function you will: Evaluate construction documents to identify and recommend appropriate Crouse-Hinds (CH) product offering. Work with the operations, MVP, and other appropriate manufacturing personnel to support plans/layout for efficient use of materials, machines and team members. Support/ Review distribution costs and product quality and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the unit. Communicate directly with sales team when required to clarify project requirements. Assist with project management tasks related to PREformance projects, including scheduling, pricing review and field visits Participate in the continuous improvement of manufacturing and distribution systems. Review and sometimes prepare quotation and project proposals for inquiries; with management oversight and guidelines, determines job bid level based on purchased materials, labor estimate, and premium service requirements. Support of other new product opportunities primarily related to outlet box product offering. Perform other related activities and special projects as required. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 1 year of experience in engineering or construction experience No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Denver, CO, Syracuse, NY, Roanoke, VA, or Washington, PA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with REVIT/BIM Modeling and/or similar programs Previous experience in electrical and/or construction industry Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Quotation experience SAP experience Position Criteria: Strong analytical and customer service skills Ability to communicate technical information to customers and manufacturing Proficiency with the MS Office Suite We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
