Job Description

Digital Marketing Manager

  • To assist with the development & implementation of a sales and marketing digital strategy that will increase Cape Grace exposure, room nights & revenues - supporting the overall marketing/ business objectives
  • Continuously looking at innovative ways to stay ahead of other hotels with current trends and technology
  • Creation and implementation of digital platforms to support the overall marketing/business objectives whilst ensuring a smooth transition between offline and online
  • Promotion and protection of Cape Grace Brand, ensuring consistency across all digital platforms and actively developing Cape Grace presence on preferred partner sites

What you will be doing:

  • Develops a public relations program for the hotel based on its marketing goals. Liaises with Marketing in targeting specific markets and developing the public relations strategies to reach these markets
  • Develops media contacts, plans press conferences and other press activities. Acts as hotel’s liaison with media to promote good publicity and counteract bad publicity.
  • Develops and organizes promotional activities, coordinates with departments concerned; invites VIPs and media to promotional activities; prepares and issues press releases
  • Establishes sales leads from the study of magazines, newspapers and form personal contacts; coordinates sales leads with Banqueting and Sales Departments
  • Disseminates corporate press releases to appropriate local trade and consumer media
  • Establishes a program for sending promotional news to trade publications on a regular basis releases covering special events, promotions, etc.

    Your experience and skills include:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 4-5 years’ experience in digital management and exceptional insights into the workings of the international market components
  • A digital, communications and hospitality management qualification is a strong recommendation, alternatively digital marketing experience
  • Proficiency in English (Verbal, Written, Reading)
  • Demonstrated experience using:
    • Microsoft Office Suite to at least Intermediate level
    • A content management system
    • SEO / VCS
    • Mailchimp
    • Powerpoint
  • Key word & Remarketing strategies
  • Solution orientated
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Above average ability with problem solving and negotiation
  • Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and achieve daily targets, whilst offering a very high level of Customer Service
