Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking a Quality Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Horseheads, NY facility, relocation is provided. Support and help adherence to EQS and ISO-9001 Systems and Procedures. Lead Root Cause Analysis Efforts on RMRs, Scrap and PPM trends. Drive “check the process” initiatives to create a culture of adherence to standardized work to reduce variability in processes. Maintain frequent contacts with customers to resolve product warranty problems. Lead implementation efforts to achieve same day quality hold resolution. Implement plans and actions necessary to maintain compliance of plant operations to standardized work, EQS and applicable quality standards. Drive efforts in continuous improvement by deployment of EQS. Lead RMR responsiveness initiatives. Coach and mentor to build organizational capability and continuous improvement in the department. Maintain frequent contact with company personnel to discuss and resolve quality reliability. Develop statistical analysis and related quality assurance reporting information for review with manufacturing management. Oversee the collection and analyze statistical production data to access and monitor product quality and reliability. Develop and coordinate problems and activities to assess and improve manufacturing processes and product quality. Plan and manage statistical quality control activities to ensure the conformance of manufactured products/equipment with customer specifications and their unique product performance requirements. Develop and monitor manufacturing quality procedures, standards, training activities, and communication programs. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum three (3) years’ combined experience in a quality, manufacturing and/or engineering role within a manufacturing environment Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree in engineering, industrial management, quality, or business from an accredited institution as a plus. Experience with ISO9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality system requirements Two (2) years of experience managing people and/or project teams Experience in managing a quality function and building organizational capability in that function Six Sigma Blackbelt or Greenbelt certification. ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM), ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Advanced technical knowledge in product design functions, manufacturing processes, inspection, metrology, metallurgy, statistical methods, and quality auditing Position Criteria: A demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement methods, approaches and tools, including strategic planning and project management. Proven track record of leading and managing quality initiatives that have resulted in improved productivity and reducing cost of non-conformance in a manufacturing setting. Expertise with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, Organizational change management, Quality Management System standards (i.e. ISO/TS 16949:2002, etc.) Interpersonal communication skills and leadership development ability We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
