GPU Compute Arch (GCA) team is under AXG’s Xe Graphics Architecture and Engineering group. The roles in GCA team include, but not limited to, understanding the new merging workloads for GPGPU such as Deep Learning, High Performance Computing (HPC), Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics, doing performance and power modelling, workload analysis and performance debug to identify bottlenecks and drive resolution through hardware and software definition and design fixes.
In addition, we develop highly optimized GPU kernels and work with our partner software and enabling teams to help deliver high performant solutions on our GPUs for such workloads. We also work closely with Research Labs/Academia to assess new research/algorithms in these domains and drive the most relevant innovations/features into our architecture to be competitive on such workloads. Ensures platform and its components have the best performance and power balance specifically focusing on graphics hardware components. Research and development of next generation platform designs to continually improve the performance. Conducts system analysis on proprietary and competition platforms, develops advanced hardware tuning and overclocking
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/ Computer Science with 5+ years of academic or industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and hands-on working experiences in the following areas are plus
- GPU architecture including vector and matrix computation
- GPU performance simulation or prototyping
- IP and SoC level cost and performance modeling and analysis
- Exposure to machine learning usages and algorithms, understanding about the scalability issues and solutions
- Understanding of broader applications in linear algebra

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$52,000.00-$200,000.00
