Eaton’s Power Components is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Horseheads, NY facility. Relocation assistance is provided. Position Overview: Performs all of the responsibilities of the accounting manager role. Is intimately familiar with corporate financial policy and procedures and maintains control of financials by identifying any potential weaknesses and instituting corrective actions where necessary. Provide financial analysis and support to both accounting/finance and a large group of cross functional personnel. Assumes a lead role in the continuous improvement process within the finance/accounting department. Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. In this function you will: Manages accounting/finance processes, performs analyses and prepares reviews; ensures Eaton policy/ regulatory compliance Meet reporting deadlines for monthly, quarterly and year-end closings - ensuring accuracy & timeliness of financial results supporting the Actuals, Forecasting, Profit Plan, Strategic Plan. Manage accuracy of capital spending projects and fixed asset records. Ensure compliance with Eaton financial policies, USGAAP, local statutory regulations, internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley. Manage & improve financial controls & processes while mitigating issues. Lead physical inventory process. Assist in preparation of business reviews/presentations to senior management. Performs specialized analyses to support complex decisions. Provide metrics/reports to demonstrate effective process controls, manage multiple projects and process improvements. Knowledgeable of finance systems. Acts as liaison with other (Tax, etc.). Takes leadership role within accounting/finance team. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Three (3) years experience in Accounting or Finance related positions Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: Manufacturing experience Prior supervisory (managing people) experience Working knowledge of Oracle or SAP systems Strong working knowledge of accounting principals We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
