Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH location. Position Overview: Reporting to the Industrial Sector Global FP&A Leader, the primary function of this role is to lead and support cost accounting, working capital, and cash flow planning and analysis for the Global Industrial Sector. This position is responsible for development, management, and reporting for key Industrial Sector global processes at the Sector level. It includes all reporting, analysis, and communication of these processes to stakeholders across Eaton. Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. In this function you will: Provide financial analysis, insight, interpretation, and communication to Senior Management of the Industrial Sector’s cost accounting, working capital, and cash flow performance and forecast Perform timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis to support Senior Management decision making across Corporate, Sector, and Business teams Serve as liaison between the Sector, Corporate, and the Industrial Sector business finance teams for all related requirements Coordinate all related cost accounting planning and reporting activities related to monthly results, monthly rolling forecast, profit planning, strategic planning, and operating review requirements Act as the functional leader and cost accounting expert for the Operating Segments. Identify key cost accounting processes to centralize, to streamline and to manage all aspects of the processes. (An example is managing the capitalization of manufacturing variances (FAS 151) process) Partner with Industrial Sector finance leaders to drive finance functional excellence across the Sector Manage and develop all predictive reporting and analysis to help the Sector manage potential future risks and opportunities more proactively. (An example is Red Flag Reporting) Act as a thought leader within the Operations Finance team, helping to drive technology adoption, consistency in policies and practices across the company, while also identifying opportunities to drive efficiency Serve as liaison between the Industrial Sector and E&Y, Internal Audit, and SOX for all financial processes in the Sector Maintain high level of ethical standards and identify and analyze problem areas and recommend appropriate course of action Coordinate and analyze annual costs role and impact to business Coordinate and ensure timely and active cost accounting testing and updating Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum 6 years related accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: Master’s Degree or MBA Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Previous experience within a manufacturing organization Position Criteria: Self-Starter with the ability to develop strategic initiatives and drive results Be a proactive communicator to all levels of management Demonstrated ability to influence broad organization directions and the attainment of objectives Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set that is effective at all levels of the organization Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and relationships in a global organization Leadership consulting, influencing and coaching skills We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
