Primary Accountabilities of the Role: You will be working closely with our teams in Germany & USA to design the electrical systems related to New Energy Projects (NEB) and Gas Turbine auxiliaries. You will have interfaces to other disciplines and designers. This position is based in Gurgaon (India). Tasks consist of contributing to the design of new R&D projects from concept to detail design as well as to Global Customer Order Engineering projects. Job tasks include: • Communication & Collaboration with Colleagues in Germany & USA. • Concept to Detailed Design for electrical systems including specification for auxiliary power supply systems, medium voltage systems, MV Rectifier Transformer, Rectifier, Inverter, AC/DC panel boards, protection system. • Experience in developing electrical interconnections (Ckt diag.), protection SLD’s. • Experience in performing Load flow, power factor, short-circuit, Harmonic analysis and Arc flash studies for AC and DC systems • Responsible for developing IEEE and IEC standard Single Line Diagrams (Key, LV and MV) in COMOS. • Co-ordinate and communicate with various system engineer to understand the Electrical system components incorporated in Work process. • You are responsible for electrical design of cables & busbars. In addition, you support sizing and layout of trays, ducts & trenches. • You would ensure that the specifications of this engineering function are in accordance to the applicable rules, regulations, codes and standards and according to good engineering practice especially with regard to Environmental aspects and Health & Safety of Site Personal, Operators, Maintenance personnel and third parties. • Be active in benchmarking knowledge internal / external Siemens. Shall aim to be the one with best knowledge for the electrical systems and detailed design. • Giving & Working on Cost savings ideas. • You would participate in engineering interface reviews & meetings • Collaboration with Siemens Energy internal / external interfacing partners. Required Knowledge/Skills and Experience: • Degree in Electrical Engineering • 10 to 15 years of Electrical Design experience • Experience with COMOS, SAP, EPLAN, ETAP • Knowledge on Electrical standards (EN/IEC/NEC/ANSI/ATEX). • Experience in study of technical Specification of all Electrical Devices • Solid experience with working in a global team • Ability to travel in India & globally to various sites • Ability and willingness to learn new fields • Committed to personal development and continuous improvement • High flexibility in taking new tasks/responsibilities • Coaching & Multiplier Skills including Training • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Organization: Siemens Energy Company: Siemens Limited Experience Level: Experienced Professional Job Type: Full-time
