Eaton’s ES-Americas, Canada Division is currently seeking a Demand Planner to join our dynamic team for an initial 12 month period. This position can be based in any number of locations in Ontario, and may be extended or made permanent in the future. Position Overview: To develop, analyze, establish, and execute tasks within the Eaton Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) system, by communicating procurement requirements to vendors, coordinating operational demands within the operation, and maintaining an acceptable internal level of inventory to support marketing forecasts and supply chain demands. In this role, you will: Within the Eaton SIOP: Develop inventory and procurement plan based on historical review and forecasts Coordinate with the CSC/CTC & Marketing and Eaton plants as appropriate on supply related issues. Incorporate marketing forecasts into the operations’ Forecast/Procurement/Capacity plan Create and maintain Planning Bills, Min/Max, Forecasts, UF2 targets, and Safety Stock Review Meet customer satisfaction targets for fill rate objectives Communicate 30-60-90 day procurement plans to vendors, and any supply issues to plant locations, Customer Service and /or Marketing as appropriate. With respect to Inventory Management: Be responsible for approximately $3M of inventory in relation to Fill Rate levels and inventory targets Regularly analyze inventory levels data, including materials requirements, to establish stocking policies Pursue cost reduction initiatives throughout all processes As General Duties: Adhere to company policies including Eaton Electrical Sector work practices, ethics and quality policies Make decisions on material availability/stocking policies that impact superior Fill Rates Execute on purchase orders or contracts within assigned approval authority limits Maintain contact with outside suppliers for material availability, and non-conformance follow up Communicate any material issues that would impact service levels Qualifications Required Qualifications Education and Experience Post-secondary Degree or Diploma specializing in Business or Materials Management CPIM or APICS Certificate 2-5 years in a ERP / Materials or Logistics environment Sound knowledge of products and systems purchasing and accounting policies Strong problem-solving expertise with excellent time management capabilities Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills required Advanced knowledge of purchasing techniques and supplier management Advanced computer skills especially in MS Office and database management We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
