Job Description

Three-month assignment based in Qingdao.

1. Interface with the client representative at the Qingdao fabrication yard.

2. Supervise site based QS team, lead and control quantity surveying work, project progress report tracks, oversee the progress and performance of ongoing construction work activities at the yard.

3. Review weekly field reports to alert Client areas of concern and support the teams in developing and implementing mitigation efforts to reflect accurate Field Progress (Earned Quantities and Earned Hours) driving the Project Master Schedule Progress.

4. Verify contractors’ quantity tracker and progress reports.

5. Ensure team maintain and update the QS process for accurate Field data collection, performance measurements and progress validation and analysis for all related construction activities.

6. Verify the submitted progress assessments are in accordance to the project Rules of Credits (RoC) and support the projects Earned Value Analysis.

7. Review and development, issuance and evaluation of construction contractor’s change orders as required for their project tracks, aligning scope with budgeted hours.

8. Ensure all QS team activities are compliant with company specification and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Construction Management (a combination of other degrees coupled with adequate experience will also be considered).

2. Above 8 years QS Experience in oil/gas, leading QS based field validations required.

3. Savvy in Field Data Collection and Proficient in Microsoft applications; Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

4. Skilled in the use of industry accepted applications for cost, planning and progress measurement.

5. Fabrication construction Management background experience.

6. Experience in working with teams within a complex matrix environment.

7. Experience with commercial exhibits including Preambles, Schedules of Rates and Bills of Quantities for Unit Rate contracts and experience with Lump Sum contracts and Milestone progression for major EPC and construction contracts.

8. Experience with commercial exhibits for contract documents.
