PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for overall team performance on key objectives for cost savings, quality improvement, and delivery execution. Deep understanding of spend and market trends for all managed commodities. Uses total cost and process-oriented approach to solve sourcing issues and develop long term supply arrangements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Leads the development, implementation, and alignment of global sourcing strategies for key commodities and/or suppliers. Maintain outstanding shortages visibility, follow up and coordination with Master Scheduler for production plan execution based on ETAs. Manages several key supplier business relationships, implement KPI and develop performance improvement plans for deficient performers. Strategic liaison between Supply Base Management and EATON operations functional areas. Effectively interfaces with development engineers as needed Total responsible for maintaining data at ERP clean and updated. Ensures implementation of a world class supply base. Implements a program for supplier performance measurement, ongoing cost tracking of the global supply network as well as freight cost management and improvement. Understands the supply base to continuously identify potential new supply partners Applies broad, diverse supply management expertise. Challenges conventional wisdom by demonstrating strategic sourcing alternatives. Promotes continuous improvement culture in the company. International procurement experience in Mexico, USA & Asia. Broad functional exposure across Supply Management activities to include new product design and launch, material planning, contract negotiation and management, logistics planning, supplier qualification and performance management and customer program integration In conjunction with Warehouse Lead Supervisor coordinate physical inventory activities.
