Job Description
Job Summary The Lease Accounting Support Specialist for GFSS RTR Lease Accounting works as a key member of the Lease Accounting team to assist the company in achieving targeted goals. This position reports to the Lease Accounting Supervisor and has an active role in entering and updating leases in the subledger to maintain compliance with the lease accounting standard. In addition, the Lease Support Specialist responds to customer queries, provides responses to routine accounting questions, performs end of term activities, vendor invoice reconciliations and participates in continuous improvement projects. Job Responsibilities Enters and updates leases in the subledger Maintains updated procedure documentation Effective communication and timely resolution of customer tickets Performs vendor invoice reconciliation to subledger Able to work and communicate both international and domestic customers Actively participates in month end Participates in subledger release testing Posts manual entries to subledger Assists with correcting entries posted to subledger Performs end of lease term activities Participates in continuous improvement and special projects as assigned #LI-SL4 Qualifications Education level required Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business from an accredited institution Years and area of experience required Minimum of 2 years of finance/accounting experience Technical knowledge Experience with financial and ERP systems: Oracle (AR, AP, and GL), SAP (FICO) Experience with Lease Accounting software (preferred) Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word) Soft skills Verbal and written communication Customer service Data analysis Reconciliations What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
