Eaton’s Commercial Residential and Distributions Solutions Division (CRDS) is seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager for its Marina Power and Lighting (MP&L) operation. This position will be located at the MP&L facility in Williamsburg, Virginia. Position Overview: The Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth through key customer accounts and channel management, and development of a tactical marketing strategy. This individual will provide leadership and development to the Inside Sales Team consisting of sales professionals. It’s where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential—and where you can help us reach ours Essential Functions: Identify and develop strategic relationships with key accounts, various channels to market, market partners, internal sales organizations, and business units. Analyze market data, trends, and customer needs and work with the business to translate that data into an actionable strategy that grows top line revenue and market share while achieving price and margin targets. Build the organizational capabilities of the sales team through training, mentoring, and performance management. Manage commercial situations such as contract disputes to achieve a solution acceptable to the customer and to the business. Travel to trade shows to market and sell product portfolio to potential end users, owners, distributors, dock builders, and other customers. Collect customer feedback and provide input on new product development and management of line exercises for the product line. Lead MP&L’s marketing efforts, including the development of supporting marketing collateral, such as presentations, new product launch materials, and catalog updates related to products of responsibility. Work with customers to build proposals and provide value selling to projects. Establish, negotiate, and authorize price levels and lead times for product basket based on competitive feedback, plant workload. Evaluate, complete, and recommend technical solutions for marina design and custom products. Lead key initiative to transition channel partners to distributor order entry. Support plant management systems such as EHS and Quality. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in either sales, engineering, or marketing Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in either engineering, marketing, or business preferred Management of people experience preferred 3-5 years of experience in sales, engineering or marketing preferred 3-5 years of related marine and RV product experience preferred Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, AutoCad, BidManager and Vista, Position Criteria: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation aptitude and public speaking experience Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Demonstrated problem-solving ability and an innovative mind set Ability to work simultaneously through prioritization and time management skills Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
