To find out more about us check: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa_aiJ4L7E The OPEX Manager is responsible for the management direction and coordination of the CI- (Continuous Improvement), Manufacturing Engineering, ECM Team. This includes the overall responsibility for leading these 3 teams in driving performance and deploying EBS (Eaton Business System). He /she will lead and drive the deployment in all sites to become a lean thinking and fast learning / adaptive organization at all levels and develop and deploy a lean thinking culture based on EBS, like CIF (Eaton’s Continuous Improvement Framework), EQMS (Eaton Quality Management System), OpA ELSS subcategory. The function provides support and leadership to meet and exceed all customer requirements, business objectives, Eaton’s corporate and divisional goals, industry standards and established regulations to enable the realization of the plant’s strategic plan. Leveraging resources, motivating personnel and creating a continuous improvement spirit across all sites to have a high performance- and team-based culture achieving world class operational levels is essential. Your main responsibilities: • Leading the development and implementation of the site Lean and Six Sigma strategy, actions, and cross-functional activities • Leading and continuously improving operating models design, including manufacturing and transactional processes, deployed across multiple value streams. • Preparing, initiating, facilitating , participating, executing, reviewing and controlling processes using our EBS-Toolbox like ELSS (Eaton Lean Six Sigma), CIF (Continuous Improvement Framework), EBS Pull, including strategy, roadmaps, short-, long-term- and cross-functional activities. • Providing relevant trainings & mentoring during the CI-journey. • Ensuring site Continuous Improvement training and mentoring including Lean and Six Sigma training. May personally lead training or delegate to another qualified CI trainer on the team • Lead the CI council and conduct Eaton assessments (ELSS, CIF, etc.), identify gaps and execute with relevant stakeholders actions to improve. • Facilitating self-assessments at the locations to identify opportunities for improvement. • Working with tool champions to create targets and objectives based on the self-assessment findings. • Utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction and improved working capital performance. • Initiating cost-out events like Kaizen, IDB (integrated deck building), RIE (Rapid Improvement Events), BPI’s (Business Process Improvements), Six Sigma- and OCM (Organizational Change Management) projects using EBS incl. ADKAR. • Working with regional/divisional CI and OPS Manager to ensure alignment of plant CI activities to broader functional strategy and vision. • Determining appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against CI targets and objectives. • Having the capability of problem solving including the application of PDCA to build organizational capability, shaping the culture and getting results. • Acting as a local subject matter expert, leading functional Operational Assessments (OpA), and knowledge sharing / looking for best practices across other Eaton locations, according to business requirements. • Driving improvements in all related manufacturing processes along the value chain, including those related to products, all equipment, workplace design incl. plant layouts, human interfaces and finally product-quality and -cost. Processes must be monitored and documented. • Contributing to create company strategy, manages and motivates subordinates to support production accomplishments. The focus is to enhance the Lean tools, EQS standards, cost-cutting projects, meeting company's KPl's and continuous improvement across all functions. Monitoring the new trends in manufacturing technology and presents opportunities for further future development to establish sustainable competitiveness. • Maintaining safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing company standards and procedures (Zero Incedent Safety Culture); complying with EHS principles (MESH) and legal regulations. • He/she is responsible for all associated metrics and for their improvements, leadership, strategic development and execution, product & process development and product support.Leads and continuously improves operating model design, including manufacturing and transactional processes, deployed across multiple value streams. • Leading the capital planning process (CAPEX) to improve overall capability and efficiency in the plant. • Providing functional and empirical analysis and strategies related to the design, development and implementation of software operating systems, including, but not limited to, using and developing of software (also for diagnostic purposes). Participating in the development of test strategies (incl. fixtures and measuring devices, other special devices, etc.) and their fully integrated systems. • Determining administrative system improvements (SAP Master Data, BOM, drawings and database changes), providing time studies and implementing change referring to the Change Management procedures. • Specifying new equipment regarding capability and potential growth including integration needs. • Leading Project Management Organization to execute local projects (CAPEX, bigger improvement projects…). • Supporting the product development incl. FMEA, all shopfloor-related activities and the product stewardship in the different product lines. • Being responsible for Industrialization of new products (making sure whatever we design / develop we afterwards can also manufacture and earn money) • Executing and support the Industry 4.0 strategy within the Plants / Division / Corporation. • Supporting Six Sigma projects and reviews (initiate implementation & training of Green and Black Belts). • Build Organizational Capability through empowering functional areas while providing overall direction and accountability in accordance with the Eaton Values and Philosophies. • Maintaining and improve employee relationships with all plant employees by supporting the Eaton Philosophy of Excellence through People. Creating an environment to engage employees and ensure high levels of employee satisfaction. Ensuring appropriate, effective and timely functional communication in alignment with the Eaton Values and Philosophy both internal and external to the plant. • Supporting the successfully implementation of new products, or projects, acting as a function expert (e.g. APQP requirements, QSA, PPAP, QRB, PTR …) and in the role as gate keeper or DGC member. • Supporting an efficient product audit process to provide evidence for the fulfillment of legal and standards requirements. • Creating an atmosphere and providing leadership that allows each department member to utilize his/her full potential to accomplish plant and divisional objectives. • Ensuring divisions competitive advantage for quality and service excellence is maintained for the customer base; ensuring that all customer expectations are met in every aspect. • Providing input on new product development priorities and portfolio management. • Being responsible for BCM [Business Continuity Management] activities. • Ensuring that any potential ‘out of control’ processes impacting business continuity or workforce safety are addressed immediately / reported / escalated for rectification. • Ensuring that policies, procedures and other documentation are established to provide for consistent and professional operation of all organizational functions. • Coordinating and assist with corporate initiatives, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across Division, Region and Eaton Corporation. Fostering an environment of Employee Engagement by embracing Continuous Improvement culture tools. • Ensuring compliance with all government, financial, environmental and labor regulations. • Developing a personal learning and development ensuring all team members are fully informed and equipped to deliver maximum performance. • Coordinating with Human Resources to deal with labor relations issues as they arise within the respective area. • Building a high-performance culture and organizational capability in line with the goals of the organization, developing early talent in an inclusive and diverse organization and appropriate levels of succession planning to ensure business sustainability and growth. • Leading the reporting teams to appropriate business culture transformations including Leadership attributes; Culture starts with you / me. • Doing business right at all times and the role must act as a company steward on ensuring full compliance around the business governance systems and business ethics for self and accountable teams Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required. • Minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (volatile and high mix). • Minimum 5 years knowledge and successfully applying tools like in 5S+, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Setup Reduction, Lean Material Flow (LMF), etc. • RedAbility to read and interpret detailed engineering data including customer specifications, and ISO Standards • Knowledge and experience of local and international standards like ISO / QMS and a proven track record in applying them successfully. • Multiple years of experience as a leader of people • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems. • Comprehensive knowledge of environmental, health and safety aspects in manufacturing environment. • Knowledge of Tools like A3, 8D, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, Minitab, etc. • P&L and basic financials concepts knowledge. • Experience with project management. • Is proactive and takes initiative (creates projects, etc.). • Strong equivalent experience with progressive levels of responsibility in manufacturing, supply chain, materials management, engineering, R&D, etc. • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills. • Strong analytical- and problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving results with a proven track record. • Experience with change management (leading & executing). • Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams. • Proven track record of building organizational capability and talent through effective recruiting, training, coaching, development and optimizing organizational design. • Focus on developing oneself including all teams to maintain a progressive understanding and alignment with market, customer, competition, technology and business needs & trends. • Has the ability to communicate and coordinate, to resist pressure and lead different teams. • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills. • Must possess good senior communication skills (verbal, written) in Turkish & English to be able to interact with employees at all levels and represent the Eaton Plants internally and externally.
