RWS Division:

 

Professional Services work with RWS clients to provide both Training and Consulting. We deliver training, expert advice and services on the implementation and best practice use of RWS products including Tridion DX ( Sites & Docs ) & RWS Enterprise Products. Projects requiring Technical Consulting range in size from 1 month to 12+months. Training includes user training, technical training and functional training with courses lasting up to 1 week.

 

About The Role:

 

As a Technical Consultant you should work on custom extensions to the existing SDL Tridion Docs - Content Manager (previously known as SDL Knowledge Center, SDL LiveContent Architect or SDL Trisoft) toolset. These extensions include XSL stylesheet development as well as custom .NET applications to facilitate/link specific business processes within the SDL Tridion Docs environments. 

 

The XSL stylesheet developments allow our customers to publish their content from within the SDL Tridion Docs - Content Manager system. The stylesheets transform (DITA) XML content into XSL-FO format resulting in production ready PDF documents using state-of-the-art applications like Antenna House XSL Formatter or RenderX

 

 

Responsibilities:

• Customize DITA-OT for several output formats  
• Develop automated migration tools for migrating legacy Framemaker to DITA  
• Experience in DITA CCMS s. 
• Should do maintenance and administration of DITA CCMS and other environments 

• Assist in content authors in their everyday tasks such as resolving publishing related issues, addressing DITA content modelling issues, promoting best practices in DITA-based authoring & publishing. 
• Have experience in structured content, XML, DITA 
• Have worked with Content Delivery Platforms 
• Specializing DITA dtds 
• Developing several XSLT and Java based small utilities such as exporting JIRA content and importing the same to DITA CCMS, exporting published output to other in-house systems, etc 

Desired :(optional)

• Required custom extensions to the existing SDL Tridion Docs - Content Manager (previously known as SDL Knowledge Center, SDL Live Content Architect or SDL Trisoft) tool 
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) 
• Experience with content management using HTML and XML/DITA \
• Involved in building the integrations between our own tools (Connecting SDL Tridion Docs - Content Manager with SDL XPP and SDL Tridion Docs - Dynamic Delivery) both for the Out of the Box solutions and the Customer Specific implementations
