What you will be doing:

Inspiring and engaging. As a Reservations Agent, you will show your strengths to maximize the Reservation Operations and ensure an outstanding guest journey. You also are the beginning of an exhilarating and bespoke experience. You will make our guests feel welcome and reflect on the exceptional experience that comes when they arrive!

  • Book and enter room reservation requests using the Property Management System.
  • Answer telephone and email inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Positively contributes to the sales activities, ensuring revenue is maximized by up-selling guest rooms.
  • Shows complete product knowledge, understand rate structure and apply rate management.
  • VIP reach-out to guests booking high-rated suites.
  • Manage in-house reservation requests.
  • Update reservations ensuring a flawless check in and check out process, including acquiring deposits when needed.
  • Ensuring daily tasks and checklists for all reservation department are completed.
  • Ensures all reservations and requests are confirmed correctly and within 24 hours and upon request according to the quality standards.
  • Coordination with Front Office and other departments if regarding requests as required.
  • Seek out potential corporate clients and gives the lead to the Supervisor.
  • Ensure that all special rates, complimentary booking, and upgrades approved by the authorized persons.
  • Liaise with Sales and other departments as required.
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Follow all safety policies.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Experience & Abilities:

  • Experience in Hotel Reservations department.
  • Prior experience working with Opera.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management is a plus.
  • Fluency in Microsoft
  • Guest focused personality is essential; experience is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Organized and able to work well under pressure.
  • Must be results-oriented with the ability to be flexible.
  • A team player with a positive attitude.
  • Must display strong analytical, organizational, and administrative skills to be able to deal with multiple priorities simultaneously.
