Position Overview: The Indirect Buyer will report directly to Materials & Logistics Manager and is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of strategies associated with our indirect goods and services. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization delivering value and cost-optimization opportunities, capturing cost-savings/reductions, and improving financial and operational performance. This position is based out of the Carol Stream, IL manufacturing facility. In this function you will: Procure a variety of goods and services in accordance with company policies in an MRP/ERP environment Review and issue purchase-orders and make necessary changes, including obtaining quotes, and negotiating costs, payment terms and related issues Expedite and track purchases to support efficient and effective operations Support purchasing Assist with executing engineering changes within the plant and with external suppliers Serve as liaison between internal Eaton customers and suppliers Assist in resolving supplier related quality issues Perform duties in accordance withgovernment regulations and in accordance with Eaton policies and procedures Perform all duties according to prescribed safety, health and environmental principles Ability to work well in a team environment Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required Minimum of two (2) years of supply chain experience or supply chain internship experience. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or business administration. Knowledge of Vehicle industry, complex machined materials management, lean manufacturing, MRP/ERP, and/or Advanced Replenishment Strategies.
