Job Overview
Primary job: CNC machining and CMM/Hand inspection of cylinder heads. This shift works Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5 pm to 5:30 am total hours worked of 36 but you are paid the equivalent of 40 hours.
Responsibilities
*Setup, Run, & Program CNC machining centers using set up sheets.
*Operate manual hand tools as well as CNC machines. (Horizontal, Vertical, Heller).
*Maintain strict quality through the use of established gauging equipment including CMM and Hard Gage.
*Help keep LWI/SOP/SWI's up to date and follow these instructions.
*Perform salvage and reclaim process to head core as well as castings.
*Perform housekeeping responsibility (5-S & TPM).
*Continuous improvement/Process improvement (give suggestions).
*Use daily discomfort log and report sickness/injury/near miss (no matter how slight).
*Continuous improvement/Process improvement (give suggestions)
*Use of 5S Audit and daily checklist
High School Diploma or equivalent required

*Prior experience operating cylinder head CNC equipment a plus.
*High level of attention to detail absolutely critical.
*Must be able to follow "Control Plans", LWI's, SOP's, and SWI's.
*Ability to read and understand gages related to machining.
*Willingness and ability to cross-train throughout the area.
*Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. repetitively.
*Must be able to comprehend CMM reports and be able to put data to practical use.
*Ability to understand NC programs.
*Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently.
*Ability to set up and adjust machine tooling including the use of computerized measurement pre-setter.
*Ability to work overtime as needed.
*Troubleshooting/problem-solving abilities.
*Fill out daily paperwork and production boards.
*Established high performance record.
*Good interpersonal and communication skills.
