Talent Manager -Supply Chain

Location: Brazil (remote)

About The Role:

Managing RWS’s talent to support RWS’s current project requirements as well as enable growth in key areas and the expansion of our service offering to clients. Delivering excellent customer service to RWS PMOs, LOs and commercial organisation to ensure RWS have the talent required to succeed on all accounts. Representing RWS’s brand and increasing RWS’s presence in the market through networking and relationship building. Managing expenditure and procurement of all assigned languages.

Responsibilities:

Global recruitment of talent for a variety of tasks and subject matters

  • Advertising for applicants and actively contacting potential freelancers to encourage application to RWS
  • Coordinating recruitment activities and application processes for new translation vendors
  • Processing applications, organising tests and evaluations and entering details of successful candidates on the Vendor Database
  • Compiling ongoing statistics to measure effectiveness of recruitment sources and methodology
  • Tracking multiple leads and applications accurately and efficiently to enable quick retrieval
  • Negotiating rates with new freelancers to ensure they are in line with RWSs spend strategies
  • Promoting the use of RWS Studio to potential freelancers
  • Ensuring new freelancers have a clear understanding of RWS’s expectations and procedures

Networking, representing the RWS brand and influencing the industry 

  • Regular use of social media to retain and grow RWS’s presence in the market
  • Representing RWS at events and conferences
  • Conveying the unique benefits of working with RWS to freelancers
  • Developing knowledge and awareness of RWS freelancers and the freelance community in the region, to be able to advise on freelancers and pick up useful information and contacts for strengthening RWS’s supply chain
  • Build a mutually beneficial relationship with freelances in order to place RWS, as a client, in a strategically positive position within your local/regional vendor community.
  • Working with universities and other institutions to develop talent and promote RWS

Driving and Coordinating campaigns with LD teams and PMOs

  • Proactively assessing RWS’s capacity in all areas and ensuring regular collaboration with Language Delivery teams, PMOs and sales teams to ensure the Supply Chain is actively supporting RWS’s growth
  • Planning resource allocation for specified campaigns, including evaluating data on current capacity to determine if recruitment is needed for anticipated projects
  • Creating and managing proposals for specific account/vertical campaigns

Integration and maintenance of talent

  • Maintaining integrity of all data on the Vendor Database for various resources, language combinations and subject matter areas
  • Instructing and training users to use the Vendor Database in the most effective way
  • Informing in-house Translation Team of new freelancers added, and promoting and monitoring their active integration in live projects
  • Acting as a main point of contact for non-project communication with freelancers, e.g. business reviews and quality discussions
  • Monitoring utilisation of all vendors to ensure balanced usage
  • Working with the LD team to ensure new freelancers are introduced to accounts and to analyse and influence the buying strategy
  • Working with the LD team and FL to ensure quality is at the right level across verticals and to ensure a regular feedback loop is in place

Procurement

  • Creation, analyse and follow up of purchasing plans for your territory
  • Analysing expenditure data to validate and strengthen the effectiveness of our cost control strategy

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the industry (vendor management experience preferred)
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills with an excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to prioritize and to work to tight deadlines
  • Proactive and flexible approach, reliable and systematic
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • PC literate with good experience of MS Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Analytical mind, ability to create and interpret reports on vendor usage, expenditure and other variables
  • Advanced knowledge of Internet searching and social media
  • Skilled networker and relationship-builder
  • Bilingualism (English and French), written and spoken
  • Seniority and professionalism, skilled and responsible spokesperson (to be able to represent RWS)
