Job description

EA (Electronic Arts) is seeking a Sr. Accountant for China Finance Team. He/she will be reporting to Sr. Finance Manager, responsible for accounting daily activities and ensure the compliance with EA policies and local regulations. This role will work with AP and AR team closely to make sure the accounting records are delivered timely and accurately and will be involved in various projects and assignments as needed to support the goals of finance department.

EA is a gaming company with $4 billion USD in revenue and 9,300 employees worldwide. We are a multinational company (MNC). The Sr. Accountant will have wide-ranging exposure in this position as he/she works with the China finance team, as well as with finance folks in Europe and in the US.

Duties:
o Responsible for month-end close, focus on timeliness/accuracy.
o Prepare monthly close package, including statutory/group reports.
o Prepare and monitor quarterly cash flow forecast.
o Maintain Fixed Asset, including physical inventory.
o Prepare transfer pricing calculations and year-end tax provisions.
o Continuously improve accounting processes.
o Assist with external/internal audit requirements.
o Responsible for annual inspection/enquiries from local authorities.
o Provide support to Sr. Finance Manager for ad hoc projects.

Experience and Qualifications:
o College or above with a major in accounting or finance
o 5+ years accounting experience, with at least 2 as GL Accountant
o IT industry is preferred
o Experience with Oracle and Hyperion
o Basic knowledge of transfer pricing, especially cost-plus model
o Good communication skills, with fluency in English and Chinese
o Strong sense of responsibility, good team work spirit
o Attention to detail
o Strong analytical and organizational skills
o Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
