Job Description
The Senior Electronic Engineer in our eMobility sector will conceptualize, manage the design, development, testing, technical documentation, and support the launch of new products to existing and future transferring product lines. This role will be supporting the production on daily basis and be the interface with other engineering personnel for product improvement, cost reduction, and other issues as needed. This position will be based at our Tczew, Poland location and will be a part of a team developing eMobility systems solutions. The incumbent will work closely with engineers located in various locations mainly in United States and in France. Key deliverables: Complete appropriate technical documentation for designs including schematics, analysis documentation, PCB layouts, BOMs, manufacturing data, update DFMEA’s & DVP&R’s, theory of operations documents, and users’ manuals. Take a systems approach to establishing product requirements, managing risk, testing/evaluating, and ensuring reliability while collaborating cross-functionally to assure successful product/system development, design and implementation. Support quality and industrialization teams to analyze parts fall out during production Analyze and get approval on deviations from suppliers / production. Support quality team to analyze parts back from customer. If necessary, connect to the product line team for getting product expertise. Provides engineering recommendations on design deviations for manufactured and purchased components. Supports sourcing team in approving new sources or suppliers. Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with key stakeholders – plant, customers, and suppliers. Work with industrial team to support production line set up. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field required, Masters preferred Minimum 5 years’ experience in product development, electrical and electromechanical systems preferred Experience in electronic hardware design in an automotive environment, interconnected products (systems), design strategies for EMC, etc. Electronic design tools: schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium, OrCad), circuit and behavioral simulation ( SPICE, Simmetrix, Simplorer etc.) PCBA and final product testing experience Experience in creating and maintaining electronic documentation for manufacturing Working knowledge of automotive serial data protocols (CAN, SPI, etc ) A must: English language proficiency, enabling daily communication with international team Capability to connect to people of another culture, another language, another time zone (could need some flexibility in working slots) Good interpersonal skills, particularly with respect to written and oral communication. #LI-PN1 What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
