RWS are looking to hire an experienced and talented Senior Developer. You will work as part of a distributed agile team leading the development of one of RWS’s internal systems, which is integral to the operation of one of RWS divisions. As a system that is constantly evolving you will be a key member of its functional enhancement and its technical evolution. You will work closely with the systems Product Manager to ensure features developed meet business stakeholders expectations in an ever changing industry. You will also work closely with other RWS technology teams to develop and enhance integrations with other key RWS systems both internally developed and commercial products.

Key Responsibilities: 

* Working closely with the Product Manager and stakeholders to help translate business requirements into technical requirements for the team. 
* Planning and documenting technical specifications for features or system design 
* Designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements. 
* Driving technical design, code professionalism and innovation 
* Writing testable, scalable, and efficient code and leading code reviews 
* Mentoring team members and ensuring they grow their skill set. 
* Assisting functional and technical testers 

Skills and Experience:

Essential

* Experience building applications with PHP. 
* Good MySQL skills or similar SQL experience 
* Strong capabilities in native JavaScript 
* Understand concept of code testing. Understand what should be tested, what should not. 
* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written 
* Experience leading or mentoring junior developers. 
* Pragmatic, get things done attitude with excellent organizational skills.

* MongoDB 
* AWS (EC2, ECR, ECS) 
* NodeJS 
* React 
* Typescript 
* Jenkins
