We are seeking to recruit a Senior Network Engineer to join the Group IT Network and Security team. This is an incumbent role, required to design, implement, and improve the network and security infrastructure across the company and it's associated divisions that make up the RWS Group.

 

Responsibilities:

• This is a very collaborative role that will work closely with other members of the Network and Security Team as well as with infrastructure, Devops, Application and multiple business systems stakeholders.
• Document and understand the current business requirements as well as predict future business needs and be involved in the overall improvement of the network infrastructure.
• The role will involve a cross between greenfield and brownfield projects as well as BAU support activities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision and will be reporting directly to the Group IT Head of Networks.
• The role will be based in Brno but will be part of a wider global team consisting of 10 SME’s who are positioned in Europe and Asia that look after 50+ sites worldwide. Some international travel will be required with this role.

 

Requirements:

• Technical education, preferably in Computer Science.
• Fluent Czech or Slovak and at least intermediate English (B2).
• Cisco CCNP Security (minimum) or be able to provide equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Have 7+ experience of working on large scale global networks.
• Be able to understand and capture business requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Be able to conduct network architecture feasibility, design, implementation and/or modify network components where necessary

 

Technical Skills:

Security Platforms

Cisco ISE

• Expert level experience of TACACS/RADIUS, 802.1x/NAC, VPN Posturing, maintenance/upgrades.

Check Point and Cisco ASA

• Basic experience of using MDM/SMS/Gaia/ASDM/CLI, gateway policy updates, general gateway maintenance/upgrades.
• Basic experience of Cloud Guard administration and configuration.
• Basic experience of AAA/NAT/PAT/DNAT/SNAT/Policy/Twice NAT, SSL, IPSEC etc.

 

Underlay

Routing and Switching

• Basic experience of BGP (iBGP and eBGP), OSPF, static, VRF.
• Intermediate experience of VLANs, STP, clustering/stacking, PC/EC, VPC, VSS etc.

 

Cloud/IaaS

AWS and Azure

• Basic to intermediate experience of networking components e.g. VPC/VNET, SG/NSG, VGW/NGW, FW’s, LB’s, Peering etc.

 

Overlay

Meraki MX, Cisco/Aryaka SDWAN

• Basic experience of admin/config/t-shooting.

 

Monitoring

SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog

• Basic to intermediate experience of using industry standard monitoring tools.

 

Desirable:
