Job Description:
As a middle school teacher, you'll need to:
• prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities
• mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development
• research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devise and write new curriculum materials
• prepare for external examinations
• manage student behavior in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior
• undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of homeroom teacher, and supporting kids on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties
• communicate with parents and carers over kids’ progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings and whole-school training events
• participate in and organize extracurricular activities, such as elective programs, outings, social activities, school concerts and sporting events
• undergo regular observations and participate in regular in-service training as part of continuing professional development (CPD).
• lesson preparation and collaborative planning
• assessment of/for students' learning
• class decoration
• contribute your expertise in a committee
• supervising students during night study
• participate in external accreditation exercise
• participate in weekend student recruitment activities (At least one Saturday or Sunday a month for not more than 8 weekends a year.)
• participate in the school's assembly programs
• other tasks assigned by the school during official work hours

Candidates with the following experience and trainings will add advantage:
PGCE
Postgraduate Degree in Education or Related Teaching Subject
A teaching license recognized by home country’s education ministry
Familiar with IGCSE syllabus and IB MYP concept-based teaching methodology
IGCSE related trainings
MYP related trainings
At least 3 years of teaching experience in the teaching subject applied for
Homeroom teacher experience
Track record of students' academic results for IGCSE
