1. Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated PYP English Teacher to join our international school's Primary Years Programme (PYP) team. The PYP English Teacher will play a crucial role in nurturing students' language development, literacy skills, and a love for English literature within the framework of the IB PYP. 2. Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Design and Delivery
Develop and implement a comprehensive PYP - aligned English curriculum that covers reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills for primary - aged students.
Design inquiry - based learning units that integrate English language acquisition with the PYP transdisciplinary themes, enabling students to make connections across subject areas.

Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring

Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment where students feel safe to express themselves in English.
Foster a sense of community among students, promoting collaboration, communication, and mutual respect in English - language interactions.

Collaboration and Professional Development

Collaborate with parents to support their child's English language development at home, providing resources and suggestions for extended learning.
Participate in school - wide events that promote English language and literacy, such as book fairs, poetry readings, and drama performances, to engage the wider school community.
3. Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Background
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field. A postgraduate degree in education (e.g., Master of Education) or a teaching qualification specific to primary education (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed.) is highly desirable.
Certification in teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TEFL) is an advantage, especially for schools with a diverse student population.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching English in a primary school setting, preferably within an IB PYP environment.
Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment in primary English education.
Knowledge and Skills
