Position: High School English Literature Teacher
Location: Shanghai, China
Start Date: February 2026

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced High School English Literature Teacher to join our academic team in Shanghai from February 2026. The successful candidate will teach literature and language skills to high school students, fostering critical thinking, analytical abilities, and a lifelong appreciation for literature. Experience with international curricula such as IB, A-Level, or AP is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach English Literature to high school students, ensuring lessons meet curriculum standards.
Deliver engaging lessons that encourage reading, writing, discussion, and literary analysis.
Prepare students for internal and external assessments, such as IB English, IGCSE, A-Level, or AP exams.
Provide constructive feedback to support student growth.
Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, and departmental projects.
Participate in extracurricular activities such as reading clubs, drama productions, or debate teams.
Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or above in English, Literature, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
PGCE/QTS/Teaching Licences MUST
Recognized teaching qualification/certification.
Minimum 2 years of high school English teaching experience; international curriculum experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of English literature across genres, periods, and cultures.
Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
