Job Responsibilities
1.Translate Chinese product installation manuals (for smart curtains and outdoor shading series) into English, ensuring accurate terminology, clear and easy-to-understand operation steps, and alignment with the reading habits of users in the North American market.
2.Proofread translated manuscripts, correct grammatical and logical errors, avoid ambiguity, and ensure the manuals comply with the compliance requirements of overseas platforms such as Amazon and independent websites.
3.Communicate with the product team occasionally to confirm professional information including installation processes and core components, ensuring the translated content is consistent with the actual product conditions.
Requirements
Native English speaker (preference given to native speakers from North America), familiar with daily English usage in North America and expressions related to home improvement products, with excellent reading and writing skills.
Prior experience in translating technical documents or product installation manuals is preferred; knowledge of smart home or home decoration products is a plus.
Strong sense of responsibility, meticulous and rigorous in work, able to strictly adhere to agreed delivery deadlines without delays.
Basic communication skills, capable of coordinating work requirements via email or instant messaging tools (simple Chinese or English communication is acceptable).
Open to remote part-time work with flexible hours, able to complete translation tasks on a project basis.
Priority will be given to candidates currently residing in Shanghai.
