The Role:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic A-Level & IGCSE English Teacher to deliver engaging and challenging lessons to our high-achieving students. The ideal candidate will be more than an educator; they will be a mentor, a critical thinker, and a passionate advocate for the English language and literature. You will be responsible for fostering a deep appreciation for textual analysis, creative expression, and academic writing, preparing students for top-tier global universities.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, student-centered lessons for A-Level and IGCSE English Language and/or Literature.

Foster a critical and analytical approach to literature, exploring a diverse range of texts and genres.

Develop students' skills in academic writing, critical analysis, oral presentation, and independent research.

Regularly assess, track, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support each student's academic journey.

Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and a love for learning.

Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities, department meetings, and school events.

Who We Are Looking For:

A bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Literature, Education, or a directly related field.

A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, Bed, or state certification)preferred.

Proven, successful experience teaching A-Level and/or IGCSE English in a school setting, with a strong track record of student achievement.

Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.

A creative and innovative teaching approach, with the ability to motivate and challenge students of varying abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.

A commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective teaching practice.
