The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons in Mathematics to IGCSE and A-Level students. Your primary goal is to foster a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, promote analytical thinking, and prepare students for outstanding academic achievement in their external examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, student-centered lessons in line with the Cambridge International (or equivalent) IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics curricula.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and a growth mindset.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and digital tools to cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
Regularly assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
Prepare students thoroughly for all aspects of their IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities, departmental meetings, and school events.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student welfare and achievement.
What We Are Looking For:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a closely related field. A Master’s degree or teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, etc.) is highly desirable.
Proven, successful experience teaching IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics in an international or bilingual school setting.
A deep understanding of the curriculum, assessment objectives, and best practices in mathematics education.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with high school students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A collaborative spirit, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Fluency in English is essential.
