Job Description & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Java Full Stack Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Candidate must have strong front and back end experience and database skills. Responsibilities will include the translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. Our web applications access and display vast amounts of data and primary development focus are easy to use, high performance and intuitive interfaces.

• Design and implement Java based web applications for internal and client facing applications;
• Integrate Java web applications with complex databases using JDBC, ODBC, JPA and other ORM tools;
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation and testing;
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs;
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability; and
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  

Requirements

Must Have

• 1-5 years (minimum) developing web applications with Java, Sprint Framework, MyBatis, etc;
• Solid database and SQL skills;
• Proven track record creating and implementing complex web applications;
• Understanding of web site security and how it is implemented;
• Ability to apply HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3 knowledge to create attractive user interface; and
• Fair understanding of JavaScript programming and DOM manipulation.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of AngularJS, Bootstrap practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience;
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS;
• Strong knowledge of web standards;
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them; and
• Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments.
